4th Grade Spanish
In the fall  they review the calendar, dates, weather.  This is ongoing.

They also review talk about
body parts and clothing.

In early spring they begin learning about expressing
time of day in Spanish.
Students begin the year by reviewing and practicing vocabulary and structures learned in the previous years:

Greetings
Numbers
Colors
Classroom Vocabulary
Alphabet
Talking about self

Near the end of the year 4th graders start to learn about the Spanish-speaking world.  First they learn geographical terms to talk about a world map and the location of various places in relationship to each other.  Then they learn where the Spanish-speaking countries are located (North America, South America, Central America, the Caribbean, and Europe). 

Finally, each student chooses a Spanish-speaking country to research and
report on in the form of a travel brochure.
