| Sometime after January, when 5th graders are studying the solar system in science class, we make a planet booklet in Spanish and students work in pairs to research and report in detail (in Spanish) on one planet. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Near the end of the year 5th graders learn about famous people of Hispanic origin.. Each student chooses a person of renown from a Spanish-speaking country to research and report on in the form of a postage stamp and biographical paragraph. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| We continually practice numbers by various math games in Spanish. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||
