HR & 8th Grade Spanish – Objective:  SW write and design an invitation to a birthday “fiesta” in Spanish.  Note:  Most students have already written a draft, which they were instructed to put in their folders in M15 (they know where).  After homeroom, students are signed up to go to tech lab to create their final product (invitation) for a quiz grade.

4-Geiger – Show video “Hispanics of Excellence – Sports” and students write (English or Spanish) which person they admired the most from the video, and why.

K-Reynolds – Show students one of the Disney sing-along videos in Spanish.  There is a VCR in the room.

6th Grade – Show a video about Costa Rica or Mexico.  Students write a paragraph* about if they would or would not like to travel there, and why.

The following is not acceptable:  “I would not want to go to Mexico because they speak Spanish.”  It has to be a paragraph with main idea and supporting sentences and conclusion.
