| On Friday, July 1 we went to the Crayola Factory, and it was cool. I had a lot of fun and I saw how they make crayons! After the show I went on the computer and it had a roller ball instead of a mouse. I loved it because I could do it myself! I made a fireworks show. If you want to do it too, you can go to their website at www.crayola.com. My wheelchair fit perfectly under the counter. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| It's easy to get around in a wheelchair because there is a big wide elevator, and wide ramps that go everywhere. The handicapped stalls in the bathrooms are very big and there is an extra chair in them. There are places where you can color, and some of them are the right height for a wheelchair, and some are not. You can make slides and show them on the wall. There are a lot of other things you can do, but some things you need help for, like planting wooden vegetables in the garden, and making hot wax designs. The wheelchair doesn't go in that part too well. Upstairs is the Canal & Train Museum. The train part was interesting, but the 7-minute movie about the canal was kind of boring for me and my sister. My mom thought it was interesting, though. We were there about two hours, then we went to the McDonald's downstairs and had lunch. Then we went to the Crayola Store, and I bought a crayon maker. You can put your broken crayons in, and new crayons come out! It only costs $20, but my mom says we will save the money in crayons. I also bought a purse. |

| PURPLE COW CREAMERY | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| This is a small ice cream place around the corner from the Crayola Factory. It's in an alley. They were not wheelchair accessible. My mom and sister lifted my chair up a very small step from the outside. The ice cream was delicious, though. The people seemed nice but they totally ignored me when I said "Goodbye" four times. They were busy talking. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
